What future?

Your situation is very similar to the majority of people that have been working in the ROV industry

The number of new offshore positions will probably be few and far between (if at all)

Those that are still working are most likely on existing contracts or simply the 'best person'

I would look for an alternative industry or start an online and/or physical business

Renewing certification is probably a waste of money (a gamble at best)
